Notice regarding AJH Advocacy Limited

To all of AJH Advocacy’s clients.

Thank you for your instructions!

I write to inform you that, with effect from 12th January 2026, AJH Advocacy Limited will no longer be accepting instructions. This is because I will be joining Magdalen Chambers as a tenant/Barrister.

From 12th January 2026, I may be instructed through Magdalen Chambers, Exeter.

Please note that any drafting instructions received before this date will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Where I am unable to complete or accept an instruction by 12th January 2026, the instruction will be cancelled and any time spent will be waived.

I will contact you individually regarding any outstanding invoices and how these will be dealt with going forward. For instructions on matters on or after 12th January 2026, please contact Magdalen Chambers via clerks@magdalenchambers.co.uk or by telephone on 01392 285 200.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you complete the contact form. When completing the form you will be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address and brief instruction.

What do we use your information for?

That information is solely used to make contact with you in respect of instructing AJH Advocacy Limited in respect of court advocacy or drafting purposes. If you enter into an agreement/retainer with AJH Advocacy Limited then the information obtained will be dealt with in accordance with AJH Advocacy Limited's privacy policy contained within its terms and conditions. If you do not, then your information will be deleted as AJH Advocacy Limited will no longer have need to retain it.

How do we protect your information?

We make contact with you once you have completed the form. Once we have made contact, the information in its original form (via this website) will no longer required and be deleted.

Do we use cookies?

Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. However, AJH Advocacy Limited does not intend to use any third party software, such as Google Analytics. This policy will be updated should that change.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

The only third party that your information would be provided to, without your consent, is the Bar Standards Board ('BSB') who regulated AJH Advocacy Limited. This would only occur if an instruction is given and/or there is a retainer agreement between yourself and AJH Advocacy Limited. The reason consent would not be required is because the BSB can inspect AJH Advocacy Limited's records to ensure compliance. As above, your details will not be retained if you do not instruct and/or enter into an agreement with AJH Advocacy Limited.
